As a Chronic Illness Coach, I work with people dealing with the challenges of a chronic illness, such as multiple sclerosis, diabetes, arthritis, lupus, cancer, Crohn’s disease, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue (click here for a complete list) who want to have more control and quality in their lives.

As a person with a chronic illness, do the following situations seem familiar to you?

Your friends and family are understanding up to a point, but as the trials of your illness continue day in and day out you may feel guilty or resentful about your dependence on them. What you really want is someone who can listen and relate to you about your challenges — large and small — in a way that makes you feel stronger, not weaker.
A friend, family member, or doctor has recommended that you see a therapist to help you deal with your illness. However, you doubt that therapy will do much good because your main problem isn’t in your head, it’s in your body.
You’re not satisfied with or don’t trust your doctor but you’re afraid or don’t know what to say to him or her. Or you’ve tried several doctors but haven’t found a competent one you're comfortable with. You’d like to find an effective way to find and screen a really good doctor.
Instead of being able to take bathroom functions for granted, you’ve had to restrict your activities or schedule your life around them. You’d like to be able to talk about this with someone who really knows how debilitating and embarrassing this problem can be, and explore ways to manage it so you can have a fulfilling life.
Besides feeling so bad that you sometimes wonder whether life is worth living, you’re no longer able to take care of your family and loved ones in the way you once did and now feel like a burden to them. You’d love to find ways to be less of a burden while still getting the care you need.

If you identified with any of these challenges or ones like them, and would like to lessen or resolve them and improve the quality of your life; if you’d like to start taking steps toward living an extraordinary life despite your illness, I can help. Click here to find out how.
